Automatic modifier progression
When adding menu items with required or optional modifiers to a check, restaurant employees no longer need to select the Done button after all required selections are made. The modifier screen now automatically progresses the order workflow once minimum requirements are met, reducing button clicks and speeding up the ordering process.
This change improves the following modifier scenarios:
Nested optional modifiers now auto-progress or are suppressed when no selection is required, instead of requiring manual confirmation.
Required modifiers with default selections auto-progress when the first modifier in a sequence is required and has default selections that already meet the requirement.
Nested required modifiers auto-progress when the minimum selection requirement is met by the user, rather than waiting for the maximum selection to be reached.
Modifier re-entry behavior reverts to enforcing the maximum selection as the boundary condition when users re-enter a nested modifier before selecting Done.
For more information about modifier behavior, see this Toast Central article.
