Kitchen labels follow item routing rules when you fire held items from an expediter

Previously, kitchen labels printed when held items were fired, even if routing rules were set to suppress them. Firing a held item from an expediter KDS now respects your dining option item routing rules.

How to verify
Use a location in Test Mode.

1. Create an item routing rule that does not send to a printer when a dining option condition is met. For example, when the dining option is Dine-In, the ticket is not routed to the Pack prep station, which prints label tickets.

2. Create an order that includes HELD tickets and uses the dining option condition set in the previous step.
   For example, use course pacing with items Salad (Appetizers course) and Chicken Parm (Entrees course). When sent to the kitchen, the Salad item is fired and the Chicken Parm item is held.

3. Depending on your Meal Pacing page settings, fire the HELD item. The printer should not print the item ticket.
