Look up checks by scanning the receipt barcode

You can now locate current and past checks by scanning the barcode printed on a guest receipt. When you scan a receipt barcode from the Payment Terminal screen of a Toast POS device, the associated check opens automatically. This allows you to streamline order lookups for returns, exchanges, or pay-at-the-counter service models without searching manually in Toast Web.

To use this feature, you must enable the Print barcode on the bottom of receipts setting on the Guest receipt setup page (Payments > Checks & receipt setup > Guest receipt setup) in Toast Web. Barcodes are also available on SMS receipts.
