International handheld payments process accurately during screen inactivity
Previously, if you processed a payment on a handheld device outside the United States and the screen timeout setting was very short (for example, 10 or 20 seconds), the Toast POS app canceled the transaction while it was still authorizing. As a result, a guest could be charged while the order stayed open in the Toast POS app. The screen timeout now pauses while a payment is in progress on these devices, so transactions complete without interruption.
For more information about the screen timeout setting, see Adjust POS Screen Timeout.
Availability
First available in Toast POS version 2.114.
Affected countries
United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia
