Process returns and update inventory natively on Toast POS

You can now process returns for past sales directly within the Toast POS app. With this update, the entire return workflow lives natively on your POS device.

What’s New:

• In-App Refunds: Search for past sales and complete refunds without ever leaving the Toast POS app.

• Automated restocking: When processing a return, you can choose to add the items back to your inventory. The Toast platform will automatically update your backend stock levels.

• Enhanced data accuracy: To ensure your reporting stays accurate, items within a sale that has already been captured can no longer be voided. Please use the new return workflow instead.

Availability

• First available in Toast POS version 2.105.

• This change is in limited release. Not all Toast locations have access to this change.

• Rolling out to Toast locations starting June 10, 2026.
