Customize KDS text size, columns, rows, and theme from the KDS Appearance menu

If you are using the New Grid View, the new KDS Appearance pane in the new kitchen display system (KDS) view lets you adjust text size, number of columns, number of rows for grid layout, and choose dark or light theme. The new menu will replace the Change ticket size option.

The maximum number of columns and rows changes depending on the size of the screen of the KDS device with some options not available for smaller KDS devices.

First available in Toast POS version 2.105.

This change is rolling out to all Toast locations starting April, 8 2026.
