Instantly view low and out of stock menu items

You can now see a list of out-of-stock and low-stock menu items directly from the Today’s Shift screen on the Toast POS app.

Access this information anytime by navigating to My Account > Today’s Shift, or by selecting the overflow menu (⋮) from the Table Service, Quick Order, Fast Service, Payment Terminal, and Orders Hub screens. This feature makes it easier for your team to stay informed about stock levels and shift messages, all in one place.

If you would like your staff to automatically see a summary of out-of-stock and low-stock menu items when they clock-in to the Toast POS, you can enable this in Toast Web.

To enable shift at a glance for low and out of stock menu items when employees clock in:

1. In Toast Web, open the Front of house page.

2. Select Shift at a glance.

3. Turn on the Menu item stock option.

Availability

This change is in limited release and is available in the Toast Test Kitchen.

This change affects Toast POS locations using POS app v2.95 of higher.

The change will begin rolling out to all Toast POS locations starting October 29, 2025.
