Manager approval for ID scan overrides in WeScan

Toast POS locations using the WeScan age verification system can now require a manager to approve any override of ID scanning for age-restricted items. When enabled, employees attempting to bypass an ID scan (for example, if a guest is visibly over 35 or their ID was previously verified) will be prompted for a manager’s PIN or identification card swipe before proceeding. This added layer of control helps ensure compliance and accountability for age verification processes.

To allow managers to approve overrides for other employees, assign them the new Age Verification Override permission.

• This feature is available at all Toast POS locations.

• First available in Toast POS version 2.88.

• Toast support must enable manager approval for ID scan overrides.
