Payment voids are now synchronous between the Toast platform and hotel PMS
When you void a payment using the Tender API, the Toast platform and your hotel property management system (PMS) now remain in sync to ensure the payment void is successfully recorded in both the PMS and the Toast platform, preventing discrepancies in your accounting.
If a void cannot be completed, you'll see one of the following messages:
If there was a problem connecting to the hotel's PMS: Toast is unable to connect to Property Management System.
If there is an issue connecting to the Toast platform: Sorry! We are temporarily unable to process this payment. Please try again later or select a different form of payment to close this check. For more information, visit the Toast status page.
