Workflows for creating modifier groups from the menu group and menu item details pages have changed
On the classic menu group and menu item details pages, the behavior of the table in the Modifier groups section has changed. Now, when you select the Add button below the table, instead of seeing a new row in the modifier groups table, you are taken to a new modifier group details page, where you can specify the name of the modifier group, add modifiers to it, and provide other modifier group configuration. You must add at least one modifier to a modifier group before you can save it. After saving the modifier group, use the breadcrumbs at the top of the page or the browser’s back button to return to the menu group or menu item details page.
The Bulk Add New Modifier Groups option, accessed from the Add button under the Modifier groups table, has also been removed.
With these old workflows, it was possible to add new modifier groups to the Modifier groups table but then forget to add modifiers to them. Empty modifier groups cause menu ingestion failures for third-party ordering partners and break an ordering partner's ability to receive orders for your restaurant. The new workflow prevents you from creating empty modifier groups and ensures your ordering partner integrations remain healthy.
